Who are the Knights of Columbus?
We are Catholic men who lead, serve, protect, and defend. We share a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors, and role models and who put charity and community first.
The four cornerstones of the Knights of Columbus are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
Charity- There is no better way to experience and show love and compassion than helping those in need. A call we answer every day and in any way we can.
Unity- None of us is as good as all of us. We support one another.
Fraternity- The Knights of Columbus was founded by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in 1882 to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died- often prematurely at the time.
Patriotism- Catholic men all over the world are proud to show their devotion to God and country and believe in standing up for both. The Knights remind the world that
Catholics support their nation and are amongst the greatest citizens.
We are in need of new members every day. Therefore, we are asking that if you have a desire to become a Knight of Columbus and are a practicing catholic, please contact the church office or email or call the Grand Knight Sal Calcavecchia at [email protected] or (931) 563-7873. The Knights of Columbus collects recyclable cans on the last Saturday of each month at the shed near the church playground. Proceeds from the drive benefit the Knights and the charitable causes they support.
